"Stop All The Clocks" by W. H. Auden

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,

Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,

Silence the pianos and with muffled drum

Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead

Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,

Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,

Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,

My working week and my Sunday rest,

My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;

I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;

Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;

Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;

For nothing now can ever come to any good.

Brilliant, emotional poem that I only heard two weeks ago and it really stuck with me because of the brilliant metaphors and this clip. It is a reading by John Hannah in “Four Weddings and a Funeral”. The poem is also commonly known as “Funeral Blues”

If you ever wanna make me cry, show me this.

Maroon 5 Concert March 9th, 2013 at Rogers Arena
These guys absolutely killed it last night! I went into that concert with the expectation of a casual performance, but they really outdid themselves with an amazing set and an even better setlist! They went back in time to ‘Songs About Jane’ while also covering their latest ‘Overexposed’. I’ve been to a lot of concerts, but I would have to say this has been the best one by far!

“"Not much in life comes by coincidence; you are where you are because of the choices you made." - Jon ‘Bones’ Jones”
— I’ve always believed in my life being this way, but when I read this quote for the first time, and to read it in words, made this quote stay with me. The idea that it came from a man like Jon Jones, a UFC fighter and a man I look up to, is another reason I love this quote so much. To me, the decisions we make in life pave our path but sometimes things just happen that are out of control, and I truly believe in this statement. YOU are the one that builds the journey ahead of you, nothing else.

One of my best friends showed me this video and it got me thinking about how this would be such a great marketing/advertising tool…Nevertheless still a funny video!

This car is a thing of beauty. Classic. Powerful. Sexy.
A friend once said ‘Eleanor’s chase scene in Gone in Sixty Seconds is the most beautiful thing ever made’ I must agree.
